Costa Rican Tarrazu Coffee Beans

Notes of peach, pineapple, strawberry and cream! Who’s ready?! We periodically feature new coffees and are excited to soon offer a Costa Rican Tarrazu bean.  This particular one has distinct and fresh flavors we hope you can all try. We sampled it a couple months back and were impressed by its bright flavored fruit notes tempered with the cream flavor. Our mouths are already watering waiting for it to arrive and be ready for roasting.

This natural process coffee comes from the famous Tarrazu region in the highlands of Costa Rica. It is grown on coffee plantations at over 1500 meters in elevation. Tarrazu has a long rainy season and a few months of dry weather when the coffee is harvested. This particular bean is from the Beneficio San Diego mill that seeks to continually increase in quality and sustainability.

To ensure that we can taste the four main flavors, we will roast this bean at a medium dark roast. We often enjoy a morning cup of coffee made with a Chemex pour over method. However, you will be in for a treat however you choose to brew this coffee. We look forward to hearing your feedback and will be updating our website and social media as soon as this is available.
